Account Deletion & 30-Day Grace Period
We provide full control over your personal data with built-in safety protection against accidental or malicious deletions.
How the 30-Day Grace Period Works
Automated multi-stage deactivation and purge
When you tap Delete Account in Settings > Account, your session is immediately terminated, active tokens are revoked, and your user record is marked with a pending_deletion status.
If you initiated deletion by mistake or wish to retrieve previous records, you can cancel deletion at any point during these 30 days simply by signing back into the app. The system automatically clears the deletion flag and restores your account access instantly.
Once 30 consecutive days elapse without a user login, our automated scheduled Cloud Function (purgePendingDeletedAccounts) executes. All personal files and user profile records are irrevocably deleted from production servers.
- •User authentication record (Firebase Auth)
- •Profile document and display settings
- •Profile avatar photos in Cloud Storage
- •Direct reverse friend links and FCM push tokens
Historical group expense records created prior to deletion remain in active groups so other group members do not have their net balances or audit sheets broken. Your name on past transactions will be shown as an archived member.
